New patients
Your first visit, step by step
A first visit usually takes about an hour.
A call from the referral desk
If your dentist referred you, the desk calls you. You can also call us yourself.
A check of your benefits
If you have dental or medical insurance, we check what it says before you come in and tell you.
Your forms
Fill in your health history on our private portal before the visit, not by email or in the contact form.
The exam
We measure your gums, look at your films and talk about what we see.
A written plan and estimate
You leave with the options, what each costs and what happens if you wait. Nothing is done at the first visit unless you ask.
A note to your dentist
We write to your dentist after the visit, if you agree.
Bring with you
What to bring
A few things make the visit shorter and the plan clearer.
Your insurance cards, dental and medical
A photo ID
A list of the medicines you take
Recent dental X-rays, if you have them

Questions
Before you come in
Do I need a referral?
Not always. Some plans ask for one from your dentist, so check with your plan. You can call the referral desk and ask.
Do I put my health history in the contact form?
No. Our contact form asks for no medical details. Your health history goes on the forms in our private portal.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. Many patients bring a family member or friend.
Which office will I go to?
The desk offers the nearest one with an opening. All three offices work the same way.
